Even with a mod to make the AI smarter, there is still absolutely no reason to turn the difficulty up. But the original question was what the point of higher difficulties are in Skyrim, when whack and block is all the Skyrim combat system has. But it increases the knowledge the NPCs have make any sense? I mean yes it it's still whack and block. You'll be strolling along and randomly come across Vampires you have to fend off. I'm talking about mods that literally make them more difficult to fight. I'm not talking about giving them more health. So how would modding npc's to be even more difficult help that? Giving enemies more and more health and damage in this game won't make you play better, it'll just make you resort to cheese tactics to get passed anything. What are you talking about? The main problem is that the combat system requires no real effort or skill, just clicking.
